Job hunt & My daughter’s Birthday

I applied for a Linux Support position at BDS (Broadcasting Dataservices Ltd), a subsidory of BBC Broadcasting Ltd around a month or so ago. After couple of rounds of interviews/meetings I finally got through. I received my offer letter yesterday and am just waiting to receive my new work permit from UK home office so that I can put my papers.

This is a very happy moment as I haven’t changed the company in last 7 or so years. I joined NIIT Ltd.  on 4th Jan 1999 in the then known as Carrer Education Group, which later became Education & Training Business.  After various roles and groups and divisions I finally landed up in what is now known as NIIT Technologies Ltd., UK.

Today is my daughter’s 4th birthday. I am unhappy that I had to come to office this day, but my wife has taken her to a small gathering in the nearby park and I have promised her a Pizza in her dinner. She likes Pizza a lot.  As it is a working day here in the UK, and I beleive elsewhere in the world as well Image, we have decided her birthday party to be on Saturday.
